The Train Effect
This consists of your designer/developer get hits by a train. Although unlikely but not imposible this would constitute that all control over your investment would be lost. In order to avoid this problem we use several tools (Github, Pivotal Tracker, Paypal) in order to have a backup plan for every situation either if you want to migrate your project in another direction or automatic payments for the services your have requested. You should always account for variable change.
